The Beech Hill Collection
Inspired by Beech Hill, one of our favorite places in Midcoast Maine, where a simple, rugged stone structure sites on top of an open hill with a view out over Penobscot Bay.
All items are built by hand in our Rockport, Maine workshop using solid hardwood and traditional joinery. Each is made one at a time and finished to order.
Built for everyday use, our Beech Hill Armchair is designed to feel comfortable the moment you take a seat. The curved arm and back provide a comfortable, supportive enclosure, whether you are sitting at the head of the table or relaxing in the living room. The top of the chair is designed to sit just below shoulder level, and a gentle incline in the seat encourages a comfortable seating position.
The splayed legs give the chair a sturdy stance, and the solid construction of the base make this chair built to last through years of regular use. Made from straight-grained hardwood and crafted by hand, this is a chair you will use regularly and still be able to pass down to the next generation.

Inspired by the graceful curves of Lake Megunticook, where classic homes are surrounded by natural beauty, and play happens in all seasons.
The Megunticook Armchair has generous proportions and clean lines, making it the perfect place to relax in any home. A wider seat, sturdy undercarriage and welcoming curve to its arms create a generous, spacious seat that still feels intimate.
Like the other items in our Megunticook Collection, the legs of this chair are round, reverse-tapered with extra large tenons. These tenons are visible when the chair is finished in natural wood colors, creating an exciting contrast in the seat. The seat itself has a gentle scoop, providing just enough room to settle in.

The simple details on this table conceal sturdy joinery: the legs are attached to the table frame with dependable mortise-and-tenon joinery. A gentle rim around the edge of the table provides an exciting, tactile touch.

Our Megunticook Stool is a small, compact seat that can be tucked in at a breakfast nook, or function just as easily as a small side table. Solid hardwood legs are attached to the seat with staked tenons, allowing this item to serve double-duty as a stool or side table.
This stool is available in a variety of color options — give it a bright pop of color to make it the perfect accent piece in your living room or dining area.
